A tribute to film noir, Lux Obscura shows two gazes searching for each other but never finding what they seek. Each structure consists of blinds that open and close over the course of the day. Come nightfall, the shadows of the projections can be seen on the ground. The exit of the famous Emery Street cinema acts as the backdrop for this chiaroscuro narrative: everything that is projected could have happened on this same street just a few years ago.

Design and production: Jonathan Villeneuve
